Mountcollins GAA News

GAA EVENTS: The vehicle run on St Stephen's day was once again a huge success. In its second year the event was organised by the local GAA club in association with Pieta House and judging by the interest is now set to become an annual event. We had a large amount of injuries of tractors, trucks, vintage cars and other vehicles which generated great interest among many spectators. Pieta House and Mountcollins GAA club would like to thank all vehicle owners who took part and for their contributions. Thanks also to all viewing public for their donations and to all the club members for their assistance on the day.

RACE NIGHT: Our annual fundraising video race Night attracted a full house to Tommy Mick's Bar on last Wednesday night and exceeded all expectations. The club would like to extend thanks to all who contributed towards the success of the venture, who bought horses, jockeys, grooms and trainers our advertisers and various club members who calls to homes in the parish and helped out on the night. Thanks also to our MC Johnny Walsh who played a big part in the nights activities and to Tommy Micks Bar for hosting the event and to the large attendance who were in a generous spending mood. A Happy New Year to all from on Mountcollins GAA.
